We have some exciting news for this week…our salmon eggs started hatching! It was a very exciting moment for our children who spend a lot of time looking at the wiggling tails of our first little salmon coming out. We used this event as a chance to work on our paper water tank mural. We now have water, rocks, eggs and the new baby fish. We can’t wait to see more exciting things happen in both of our tanks.
We added “Buenos Dias” to circle time. Our children are having a really fun time learning new spanish words and its great to hear them practice. We will be singing a different days of the week song and incorporate new weather activities.
Letter of the week was M with fun projects of paper moons, paint and sponges. As always paint was a big hit among all of our children. I think the highlight of the week was playing with sand though. We used ladles, big and small spoons, strainers and measuring cups and it was a blast! I had to promise our students we would be repeating this activity next week cause they didn’t want to walk away from the sand.
