This week we introduced a new set of blocks for our work time. Our goal is to keep on adding materials to our classroom that helped our children work together as a team and learn to share. We’ll consistently keep adding materials as needed to keep our children
motivated and have fun discovering games and ways of playing with them.
We just started our Halloween decorations! This week we did cats, bats and lots of glitter! it was lots of fun and very engaging for everyone! We’ll keep adding more decorations to our classroom, getting it ready for our Halloween party!
We also introduced a Halloween song here are the lyrics:
Halloween is coming,
Halloween is coming
Skeletons will be watching you (make circles w/ thumb and index finger
as in watching)
Big black bats and witches hats OOOOOOO,
Halloween is coming Halloween is coming
Skeletons will be watching you
BOO!!
Overall our children are finally getting used to our routine and becoming friends. Our older kids are interacting better with our little ones, showing concern when they cry, helping them go down stairs and showing affection towards each other with kisses and hugs. They are a very loving group!
We have been working on patterns, colors and sequence with our pre-K group. Our bead work proved a little more challenging which I was thrilled to see. Their wheels were spinning and we look forward trying again this week. As part of our reading readiness we are working on perfecting all of our sounds, learning sight words and starting letter of the week.
