Admissions Process
Do we sound like the right school for your child? Wonderful! We can’t wait to meet you and learn more about you.
Here’s how you can apply to The Cove School.
1. Attend an Open House or schedule a tour November-January
We’d love to give you a tour of our space sometime between October and January; you can reserve a time for your tour by calling the admission office (206-923-COVE). We like to limit our tours to adults so we can give you our undivided attention and answer all of your questions.
OR
You can also attend an Open House in November, December or January. Open Houses include a presentation, a tour, and plenty of time for questions. As with our tours, this is an adults-only day. Open houses are scheduled for Saturday mornings from 9:00-10:30 am. Sign up here.
2. Apply February 1st
If you like what you see (and we think you will!) complete the admission application form online. All applicants must also include a Parent Questionnaire
There is a non-refundable $75 application fee and we’d like your completed application before we schedule a child visit. Applications will be accepted after February 1st, but processed as space is available.
3. Child visit end of February/beginning of March
Once we’ve received your application, we’ll call you to schedule a visit for your child. You and your child will spend the morning with us in the classroom so both of you can get a better idea of what we do and how we do it. This is also an opportunity for us to see your child in our environment and answer any additional questions you may have. The visits will be scheduled after you’ve attended a tour or open house and once applications have been reviewed.
4. Invitation to Join March 15th
An email for an invitation to The Cove or waitlist will be sent out on March 15th.
5. Enrollment March 31st
If your child is invited to be part of our community, we ask that you pay a $150 registration fee along with one month’s deposit that is applied to your tuition.
